Truax Seed Drill
Seeding
Seeding and planting native plant species are the heart of our business and therefore, almost everything in our business revolves around these operations. The equipment we use to accomplish this is one key to our success and therefore we use only top notch equipment designed specifically for our specialized task. Conservation Seeding & Restoration, Inc. presently owns four diesel powered tractors for restoration operations. All of these units are used primarily for pulling seed drills in seeding operations. However, the three Kubota tractors were equipped with quick detachable loader buckets and forks as well as other equipment such as tilling and mowing equipment to provide machine versatility that allows us to utilize them for excavation, mowing and other types of restoration operations.

Conservation Seeding & Restoration, Inc. is equipped with two Truax Flex II Grass Seed Drills. These units were chosen for several features that the Truax Seed Drills offer. These features provide maximum versatility for the simultaneously drilling of a large variety of seed sizes, textures and weights of native grasses, forbs and shrubs. In addition, Drilling into residue cover or interseeding into sod (no-till drilling) is no problem. Both drills are equipped with the specially designed no-till attachments. Finally, drilling operations with these drills can be performed in various weather conditions including frozen ground.
